Thomas is a useful engine in this TrackMaster Avalanche Escape Motorized railway toy playset. Its a huge 6 feet long with a daring escape from the avalanche as Thomas free falls the mountain onto the tracks. Can Thomas the Tank Engine navigate a mountaintop railway track in the wake of a rocky avalanche. Thomas will need to change up a steep incline and soar across a huge gap in the tracks before descending into the dark cave for a fossil discovery that is amazing. The little number one engine is not home free yet he has a monster of a surprise lurking in the scrap yard. Its a nail biting playtime journey that will speed the bravery and speed of the Thomas the tank engine. The new trackmaster railway play sets are redesigned to have a new track that has stronger connections and look more realistic. The motorized engines are enhanced for faster and steeper climbing. However they have changed the batteries to all AAA. The Tipping track auto resets but can sometime need a little help to reset properly.  The scrape monster comes into light when Thomas runs over it and it pops up. Your little one or you will have to reset it each time to get the same effect. The Thomas and Friends playset is modeled off of the Tale of The Brave DVD and even has a fun trace fossil as Mr. Hands shows us.  The tale of the Brave DVD introduces a fun character named Gator who is from the mountains and he has a mysterious cargo. Overall the trackmaster playset is a real deal and you can even find it on sale at several location. We purchased this one at Wal-mart on sale for $24.99
